Industrial Maintenance Technician

Injection Molding | Facilities | SMT | Automation | Manufacturing Maintenance Our client is a leading Tier-One automotive supplier specializing in the design and manufacture of advanced lighting systems, electronic components, and engineered products supporting some of the world's largest automotive brands. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will play a critical role maintaining up time, improving reliability, and supporting advanced production systems. You will help ensure smooth manufacturing operations by maintaining and improving production equipment, facilities infrastructure, and automation systems. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance across manufacturing equipment and facility systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, robotic, and automation systems with minimal supervision. Diagnose complex equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions. Support manufacturing uptime by responding quickly to breakdowns and reducing downtime. Execute maintenance work orders and accurately document activity within Maximo CMMS or equivalent maintenance systems. Participate in continuous improvement activities, root cause analysis (RCA), PDCA, downtime reduction, and equipment reliability initiatives . Support equipment installations, machinery upgrades, line transfers, tooling changes, and commissioning projects. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Operations teams to improve equipment performance and process capability. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to source parts and complete maintenance projects. Maintain adherence to maintenance standards including 5S / 2S / 3D principles, safety requirements, and departmental procedures . Assist with mentoring junior technicians and supporting technical skill development across the team. Contribute to troubleshooting and optimization of: Injection molding equipment Automation and robotic systems SMT production equipment Facility utilities and infrastructure Vision systems and controls technology Key Requirements What Will Help You Stand Out - We understand maintenance comes in many forms — we welcome applicants from a broad range of industrial environments. Preferred Experience Experience in Industrial Maintenance, Injection Molding, Facilities, SMT, Electronics Manufacturing, Automation, Plastics, Automotive, or High-Speed Manufacturing Strong troubleshooting capability across: Electrical systems Mechanical systems Hydraulics Pneumatics PLC Controls Robotics & Automation Ability to interpret: Electrical schematics Hydraulic prints Mechanical drawings Control diagrams Experience with: Preventative Maintenance (PM) Predictive Maintenance CMMS platforms (Maximo preferred) Root Cause Analysis Equipment rebuilds and upgrades Exposure to: PLC ladder logic Vision systems Sensors and safety circuits AC/DC controls Integrated automation technologies Ideal Background (Not Required) 5-8+ years within manufacturing maintenance environments Experience supporting: Injection molding presses Robots (Fanuc / Sepro / Wittmann or similar) Conveyance systems SMT assembly lines Utilities and plant infrastructure
