$20•23 per hour
Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday Lead Infant Teacher•Early Learning Classroom The Learning Experience•Tuckahoe is seeking a caring and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to guide our infant classroom and support children during their earliest stages of development. This role focuses on creating a nurturing environment where infants build secure relationships, explore sensory experiences, and begin early communication development through responsive caregiving and consistent routines. This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys building strong relationships with families while leading a structured and engaging infant classroom. Key Responsibilities Lead daily classroom routines for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, and nap supervision Implement developmentally appropriate sensory learning activities Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Support assistant teachers and maintain classroom consistency Observe and document developmental milestones and daily routines Communicate regularly with families regarding routines and progress Ensure compliance with New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements Qualifications Minimum 12 credits in Early Childhood Education required, or CDA, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education Prior infant classroom experience preferred Experience leading or supporting an infant classroom strongly preferred Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving practices Reliable, collaborative, and nurturing teaching approach Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements What We Offer Competitive hourly pay of $20•23 based on education and experience Consistent weekday schedule Supportive leadership and collaborative teaching environment Professional development and advancement opportunities Employee childcare discount Apply today to join The Learning Experience•Tuckahoe and help create a warm, responsive classroom where infants feel safe, supported, and ready to grow.
