Job Description

Company Overview Berkshire South Regional Community Center is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to fostering community connections and personal growth across the Southern Berkshires. Since 2002, we have provided diverse programs and services that promote social health, resilience, and a sense of belonging among residents of 17 towns. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and passionate Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our growing early childhood education team. In this role, you will implement classroom activities, develop engaging curriculum, and support the developmental needs of infants and toddlers. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire young learners and contribute to a nurturing environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and joy. Candidate must hold current Infant/Toddler Teacher Certification from the Department of Early Education and Care, to be eligible. Duties Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to infant and toddler age groups, incorporating elements of literacy education, physical activity, and social-emotional learning Lead daily classroom activities that foster curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management Collaborate with colleagues to curate a curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards and best practices Support children's emotional well-being by creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, milestones, and any concerns Support administrative needs of the classroom related to children's development, attendance, and assessments for program compliance and reporting Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies Proven experience in teaching and caregiving, lesson planning, and curriculum implementation for infants, toddlers or preschoolers Expertise in behavior management techniques suitable for young children Familiarity with special education needs and inclusive teaching practices Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners Knowledge of childcare regulations, daycare standards, and child welfare practices
Requirements:
Must have valid EEC Infant/Toddler Teacher Certification. CPR and First aid will be required if not already current. Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
