Infrastructure Engineer

Vacaville, California job type: Contract salary: $26 - 28 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Provide system administration, infrastructure design, and routine user management for MCS, DCS, and site QC systems. Execute routine backup, restore, archival, data retention, and patching activities for production automation systems. Support senior engineers in maintaining system availability, including monitoring firewalls and antivirus software. Troubleshoot cell culture plant (CCP1/CCP2), PLC, and QC software issues, participating in on-call/after-hours support as needed. Investigate automation anomalies, support CAPAs, and assist with infrastructure testing, debugging, and startup activities. Collaborate with validation, engineering, and quality assurance teams to implement right-the-first-time technical solutions.

Required:

Experience with Manufacturing Control Systems (MCS), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Background in system administration and IT infrastructure support within a manufacturing or laboratory environment. Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues and perform data retention or backup activities. Strong communication skills and the ability to diagnose technical root causes and propose effective solutions.
