JOB SUMMARY
The Infusion Consultant role is a pivotal position for highly motivated, driven individuals eager to accelerate their careers in healthcare consulting. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in the alternate site infusion market, a structured problem-solving mindset, strong communication skills , and strategic thinking who are ready to tackle complex challenges and deliver measurable value to clients. Infusion Consultants will work on diverse, high-impact projects across multiple disciplines, providing strategic and operational solutions to a wide range of healthcare organizations. In this role, you will serve as a core subject matter expert (SME) on a diverse consulting team working with senior leadership, and cross-functional teams on client engagements. You will gain hands-on experience in strategic problem-solving, client management, and operational execution . Infusion Consultants will also develop strong client-facing capabilities, including presenting to C-suite executives and senior stakeholders. This role emphasizes adaptability, a proactive mindset, and the ability to excel in ambiguous environments. You will learn to ask the right questions, create high-quality deliverables, and rapidly identify areas of value, preparing you for impactful careers in consulting or industry leadership. By taking ownership of key initiatives and contributing to high-visibility projects, you will play an essential role in driving meaningful outcomes for clients and the organization.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with other teammates and client teams to deliver high-quality infusion consulting solutions, including new builds and optimization of existing client strategies. Work directly with customers to execute alternate site strategies, leading portions of engagement through hypothesis-based solution development and execution. Lead meetings and build client trust through clear communication. High-impact deliverables in partnership with other teammates that translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives. Create and refine executive messaging frameworks to communicate priorities, risks, opportunities, and recommendations effectively. Address ambiguous problems using structured thinking, consulting frameworks, and hypothesis-driven approaches. Conduct research and provide perspective to the team to inform analysis to support infusion business recommendations. Work across matrixed teams to gather information, synthesize perspectives, and ensure consistency in messaging. Contribute to the design, planning, and execution of major initiatives, such as customer segmentation, operational readiness, and strategy refresh cycles. Conduct due diligence on strategic questions, including customer insights, operational data, and industry trends. Translate data and qualitative findings into insights that elevate leadership decision-making. Maintain a high standard of organization and proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure deadlines and deliverables are met with attention to detail and accuracy. Engage in continuous learning and development to enhance infusion consulting skills and industry knowledge.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. 6+ years of relevant work experience in infusion pharmacy, hospital pharmacy operations, or other related field . Additional experience in client services and consulting organizations preferred.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Deep knowledge of alternate site infusion operations, including site design, addressable products, clinical workflows, accreditation standards and leakage mitigation strategies. Demonstrated ability to take complex information and simplify it into crisp storylines and structured deliverables. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to message up to senior leaders. High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel up to 35% .
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
PharmD education Experience working directly in alternate site environments as an operator or advisor. Experience working with executive leaders or supporting cross-functional initiatives. 5 - 8 years of healthcare-related experience, with a preference for work with health systems or elements of the pharmaceutical supply chain. Exposure to the healthcare or distribution industry. Familiarity with structured problem-solving methods. Schedule Full time Salary Range• $124,000 - 190,850 •This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massacusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
