Inpatient Pharmacist

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in the Madison, WI area is seeking three inpatient pharmacists for a 13-week contract beginning June 8. This role requires hands-on inpatient pharmacy experience and a valid Wisconsin ACT-10 pharmacist license.

Work Schedule:

5 days per week, 8-hour shifts Mix of day (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and evening (2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) shifts Rotating every third weekend

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services including pharmacokinetic and renal dosing Manage therapeutic medication monitoring and pharmacotherapy for acute medical conditions Address drug shortage management and collaborate with healthcare teams Utilize EMR system EPIC for documentation and communication

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years recent inpatient or acute care pharmacy experience Ability to perform pharmacokinetic dosing and adjust renal doses appropriately Skilled in therapeutic medication monitoring and managing medication therapies for complex medical problems Wisconsin ACT-10 pharmacist license (accepted) Must comply with facility mask fit testing requirements (face must be shaved to seal proper fit; CAPRs and PAPRs are not permitted) Scrubs provided by the employer
