Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist specializing in hospital inpatient care. This role supports inpatient pharmacy operations by ensuring the accurate preparation, dispensing, and management of medications in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and collaborate closely with medical staff to optimize patient treatment.
Location:
South Bend, IN Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately to inpatient residents following hospital protocols. Review and verify medication orders for safety and appropriateness. Monitor patients' medication therapies and recommend adjustments as needed. Maintain inventory and proper storage of pharmaceutical supplies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication use and patient outcomes. Document pharmaceutical care activities according to hospital standards. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines within the inpatient setting.
Qualifications:
Licensed and registered Pharmacist with applicable state credentials. Experience working as a Staff Pharmacist within a hospital inpatient pharmacy. Strong understanding of inpatient medication management and hospital pharmacy workflows. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume environments. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and pharmacy information systems preferred.
