Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for two inpatient pharmacists to support a hospital pharmacy team near South Bend, IN, with the location just outside in Elkhart, IN. This 13-week contract role begins on June 1 and offers two differing daytime shifts:

Days:

6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Days/Evenings:

11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Responsibilities include verifying medication orders using the Cerner Meds Manager, managing inpatient pharmacy distribution, and preparing IV medications in line with hospital standards. Familiarity with hospital medication protocols, including IV antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolytes, is essential.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Proficiency with Cerner EMR, specifically Cerner Meds Manager order verification Experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting or completed relevant training Knowledge of Pyxis and Pharmacy Keeper inventory and dispensing systems Ability to prepare IV medications and manage hospital pharmacy distribution services New graduates are encouraged to apply if proficient with Cerner order verification processes Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify This position offers the chance to gain or expand clinical inpatient pharmacy experience within a dynamic hospital environment.
