JOB SUMMARY
: The purpose of this position is to report to the JFHQ (St) IG on discipline, efficiency, morale, economy, training, and readiness of the Ste Nional Guard. Provides assistance to Soldiers, Airmen, and their family members on a wide range of issues and subjects.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
This is an excepted position th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the Connecticut Army Nional Guard. The major duties include, but are not limited to: Participes in DOD/DA/Ste inspections, inquiries, and investigions to perform review, analysis, evaluion, staffing and coordinion. Conducts investigions of allegions made and problems or deficiencies identified during the course of inspecting JFHQ (Ste) or unit operions reling to areas assigned. Develops/interprets policies and published guidance throughout the JFHQ (St) and to the IG. Prepares and reviews periodic and recurring IG reports and analysis' of deficiency trends for the JFHQ (St) presents these trends to the IG and or JFHQ (St) leadership. Processes complaints and requests for assistance emaning from personnel within the Ste and investiges or inquires to substantie alleged or suspected instances of non-compliance of individuals or organizion with laws, rules, regulions, executive orders, or other mandory regulory requirements.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE
All series personnel must be competent the next higher level before being eligible for th level. An applicant must have a valided understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupional series and grade.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Your resume and any other supporting documention you wish to provide must clearly substantie you currently possess 36 months of specialized experience in the following: Experience demonstring an understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupional series and grade. Experience demonstring the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulions, policies and procedures. Experience demonstring the ability or have endorsements th indice the ability to perform and learn the cited duties. Experience in planning for and executing inspector general programs and using software da systems. Experience in the procedures to inspect and report on the ste of discipline program efficiency and effectiveness, and readiness of military and civilian forces. Experience demonstring working as the primary inspector general advisor with responsibilities to plan, direct, and manage inspector general programs. Experience conducting investigions and inspections to ensure compliance with agency policies, practices, and regulions. Experience providing policy, guidance, oversight, and directions for the inspection programs; complaints resolution; Fraud, Waste, and Abuse; stregic plans and programs; and the Commander's Inspection Program. Experience demonstring an understanding the inspector general program concepts and policy regulions. Experience demonstring skill in the development of programs, procedures, and methods to implement, evalue, and maintain the inspector general program. Experience in developing risk-based sampling stregies and annual inspection plan focusing on the Wing Commander's priorities. Experience in multiple and specific inspector general computerized programs. Experience demonstring skill in writing standardized opering procedures for the inspector general programs. Experience interpreting and developing inspection policies, procedures and applicable Memorandums of Understanding or Memorandums of Agreement with host or tenant organizions, if applicable, as well as ste, city, and/or county agencies in order to adequely evalue the Nional Guard's overall mission readiness. Experience in providing supervisory duties, directing administrive, technical, and operional directions and established broad objectives for long-range stregic plans or new programs. Experience in developing, interpreting, and implementing the Army, Air Force, or both services' inspection policy. Experience in planning and organizing assigned programs, estiming unit resources, capabilities, and objectives. Experience in coordining with staff and line management personnel, and skilled in conducting all phases of projects. Experience and skill in providing definitive interpretions of regulions and study procedures; and competent experiences involved initializing new inspections, interviews, and research applicion, methods, and functions. Experience in identifying potentially controversial findings, issues, or problems with widespread impacts. Experience in writing and analyzing projects, evaluions, or reports. Competent in providing recommendions on organizional goals, guidelines, and effectiveness to achieve intended objectives. Experience in using expert judgment, initiive, and resourcefulness to devie from established methods to modify, adapt, and/or refine broader guidelines to resolve specific complex or intrice issues and problems. Experience demonstring expertise on interpreting research trends and pterns which resulted in the development of new inspector general programs, methods and criteria. Experience demonstring plans and programs th required analysis of unreled and interreled issues of effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity. Experience in developing recommendions to resolve issues, problems and complaints. Experience and competence in applying qualitive and quantitive analytical techniques th frequently required modificions to fit variables. Experience working programs or processes simultaneously th are varied and unreled such as, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse investigions and exercise planning and evaluion. Experience managing and conducting investigions and project assignments th required detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implemention of specific programs. Experience identifying the primary sources of concerns, issues, problems, complaints, or concepts which were not susceptible to direct observion and analysis such as, projected missions and program functions. Experience in developing and publishing measurements of effectiveness, improvements, and efficiencies. Experience in making leadership decisions to include assessments of unusual circumstances or variions in the da supplied by the users or incomplete or conflicting da metrics. Experience in managing multiple and difficult assignments th were compliced by the need to compile, reconcile, and correle computerized da elements from classified and unclassified da sources. Experience reviewing completed work th involved cross-checking, analyzing, and interpreting relevant informion. Experience demonstring competence in revising da collection methods or developing new approaches to analyze and evalue da. Experience applying an extensive knowledge of Nional Guard operions to direct complex stregic planning efforts and participe in the establishment of program criteria to measure and/or predict the tainment of organizional goals and objectives.
