Installation Specialist / Mobility Upfit Technician No Weekends / Day Shift / Hands-On Custom Vehicle Work Are you mechanically inclined and good with your hands? We're hiring a full-time Installation Specialist / Mobility Upfit Technician for our team. This role is a great fit for someone with experience in conversion vans, automotive accessories, fabrication, mechanical work, 12-volt electrical, RVs, trailers, specialty vehicles, or custom vehicle builds. This is not a routine auto repair. Our installation team works on wheelchair accessible vehicles, mobility equipment, custom modifications, seating systems, lifts, hand controls, securement systems, and other specialty equipment that help customers regain freedom and independence.   • Install mobility equipment and vehicle modifications
  • Build, fit, modify, and assemble vehicle components
  • Perform light fabrication, drilling, cutting, measuring, and mounting
  • Complete basic 12-volt electrical work, wiring, connections, switches, and accessories
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and accurately
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot installation or mechanical issues
  • Read work orders, instructions, diagrams, and measurements
  • Test installed equipment to ensure safe and proper operation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Work with the team to keep jobs moving efficiently
  • Take pride in quality artistry that directly helps customers What We're Looking For
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
  • Fabrication or custom-build experience
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Ability to think through unique installations and "outside the box" challenges
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependable, organized, and quality-focused
  • Positive attitude and team mindset
  • Valid driver's license required Helpful Experience

  • RV, trailer, bus, or specialty vehicle upfitting
  • Carpentry, cabinetry, flooring, panels, or interior build-outs
  • Metal fabrication
  • Mechanical repair or maintenance
  • Welding or fiberglass repair Physical Requirements This is a hands-on shop position.
Candidates must be able to:
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Bend, kneel, reach, climb in and out of vehicles, and work in tight spaces
  • Use manual and power tools throughout the workday
  • Routinely lift to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift to 75 lbs.
