Join the Team as the Institutional Research Analyst at Tohono O'odham Community College Are you a data enthusiast passionate about higher education and tribal community success? Tohono O'odham Community College (TOCC) is seeking an Institutional Research Analyst to transform data into actionable insights that drive our mission and vision forward. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research, you will play a pivotal role in researching economic and demographic trends that directly impact our operations and strategic goals.. This is a full-time, Non-Exempt position. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
Hiring Salary Range:
$44,260 - $55,000.
What You Will Do:
As the Research Assistant, you will perform specialized institutional research and analysis duties critical to the College's operations, strategic planning, and decision-making processes. Develop procedures for identifying and recording critical data while auditing reports to ensure the highest quality standards. Design and manage automated workflows to extract and process data, streamlining our reporting efficiency. Perform complex statistical computations to uncover trends and provide evidence-based advice to College leadership. Create and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports that make data accessible and meaningful for all stakeholders. Partner with faculty and staff to translate complex datasets into clear insights for priority setting and effective decision-making.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
What You Will Bring:
You have expertise in statistical methods, database management, and data transformation (ETL - Extract, Transform, and Load). You understand research design and evaluation models, and can align data with institutional strategic objectives. You possess excellent interpersonal skills and can present complex information accurately to diverse audiences. You are skilled in using specialized applications and survey tools to support College-wide studies.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in statistics, educational research, or a closely related field. Two years of institutional research, assessment, or related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Must possess a valid state Driver's license with an acceptable driving record and Successfully pass a criminal background check. Must be on site. This is not a remote position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to speak and understand the O'odham language. Knowledge and understanding of the history and contemporary issues facing Native peoples.
Work Environment & Schedule:
Typical work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The work is sedentary, involving sitting most of the time. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions, typical of an office or administrative setting. Requires close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. The physical activity is primarily limited to fingering (typing), talking, and hearing.
