Job Description
Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a difference this summer by supporting students with special needs in an engaging school environment. We are looking for dedicated, adaptable paraprofessionals who thrive as collaborative team players and are ready to step into a variety of responsibilities based on where campus needs are greatest. Flexibility is essential, as assignments may include hands-on support such as toileting, feeding, lifting, or guidance with medical procedures. Those who demonstrate commitment and reliability could be invited to continue for the next school year.
Qualifications:
Minimum requirement: Associate's Degree or higher, OR 48 college units and a high school diploma, OR Passing the CBEST and a high school diploma, OR Passing the instructional aide exam and a high school diploma Additional roles and preferences may include: CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to complete district-funded training Experience with specialized health procedures, sign language, Braille, or California LVN license (S10F, S20D, S20V, S22 categories) Experience supporting students with behavioral and/or significant physical care needs Completion of relevant emergency medical training modules Proof of qualifications and certifications required with your application Manager-level reference neededKey Responsibilities:
Provide academic, behavioral, and personal care support to students with diverse needs across Pre-K, elementary, middle, high school, and specialized programs Implement teacher and school protocols, including feeding, assistance with toileting/diapering, G-tube care, lifting/positioning, and more Recognize and respond appropriately to medical and behavioral interventions Collaborate actively with school teams and display flexibility in assignment Available contracts run June 15 through mid-July 2026, with specific schedules varying by school level.
