Jul 1, 2026 Job Description Overall Purpose To strengthen the quality of instruction which will result in improvement in student achievement. Essential Functions Support the mission, vision, and beliefs of the district and school Promote district and school improvement plans Increase the quality and effectiveness of instruction through collaboration, co-planning, training, and modeling Provide specific and purposeful feedback to teachers that reflects evidence-based best practices Work collaboratively with district staff and other Instructional Coaches to continuously reflect on current work and improve practice Maintain ongoing and open communication with school leadership regarding all facets of the instructional program of the school Design, facilitate, and/or coordinate professional learning for instructional staff Lead teachers in analyzing formal and informal student achievement data and using the results of this analysis to improve teaching and learning Examine, assess, and assist with selection of appropriate instructional materials and instructional activities Assist teachers with planning, sequencing, and scaffolding of instruction Remain abreast of and familiar with current research, literature, and technical sources of information related to instructional improvement Perform other related, Title I-allowable duties as assigned Requirements Master's degree or higher Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in appropriate field; Coaching Endorsement preferred Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience Physical Requirements Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 20% sitting, 40% walking, and 40% standing. Education/Training Maintains all licenses and certifications.
