This opportunity is contingent upon enrollment in an approved program.Summary of Position:
In the Teaching and Learning Academy (TLA), educator teams work together with distributed expertise to support a shared roster of students. The teams, typically comprising credentialed teachers, paraeducators, aspiring teachers, specialists, and/or community educators, use formative data and other evidence of student learning to move educators and students fluidly across multiple shared spaces, prioritizing deeper and personalized learning for students. Each educator team is supported by an Instructional Facilitator who will support a shared roster of learners with the educator team and directly interact with students. Additionally, the Instructional Facilitator will work under the guidance and supervision of the Lead Teacher. This role is pivotal in delivering direct instruction to students, ensuring each students' academic needs are met. The Instructional Facilitator is a dynamic and adaptive educator, committed to the principles of the TLA. This role requires dedication, flexibility, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of students. Through their work, Instructional Facilitators play a crucial role in the realization of the TLA's vision for an innovative, collaborative, and personalized learning environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement a variety of instructional activities and lesson plans in collaboration with the educator team, incorporating diverse teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners. Provide targeted intervention and support to students who require additional assistance in academic or behavioral areas, utilizing evidence-based practices and differentiated instruction. Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and data analysis, maintaining accurate records and providing timely feedback to both students and the educator team to inform instructional decisions. Supervise students during instructional periods, transitions, and other non-instructional times to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. Collaborate with members of the Teaching and Learning Academy team to align instructional goals, share best practices, and promote a cohesive educational approach across grade levels and subject areas. Attend and actively participate in professional development opportunities, including on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring, to enhance instructional effectiveness and stay current with educational trends and practices. Assist the educator team in establishing and maintaining open lines of communication with families, including sharing student progress, addressing concerns, and fostering positive relationships between home and school. •All other duties as assigned.Education/Certification:
The Instructional Facilitator must have a minimum of one of the following: Associates Degree in Education Pursuing Alternative Licensure Enrolled in year 3, 4 or student teaching experience for a Bachelor's Degree in Education May also be a licensed teacherExperience:
Experience in Early Childhood Education and/or elementary education, with proven success in supporting student learning and development is preferredKnowledge of and Abilities:
Ability to effectively receive and apply direction and instruction for delivering instruction and support to students, while collaborating with adults as a productive and contributing team member. Capacity to connect with and build positive relationships with young children and elementary-aged students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Working toward or completion of Science of Reading training (or successful completion of equivalent college/university courses), demonstrating a commitment to evidence-based literacy instruction.Expectations:
