PERSONNEL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

May 15, 2026 Instructional Support Tutor (2026-2027 SY) Spiller Elementary School

Preferred Qualifications:

Is at least 21 years of age. Possesses a high school diploma or GED certificate. Accurately follows oral and written directions. Effectively controls a group independent of an immediate supervisor. Previous school-based experience with children preferred, but not required.

Performance Responsibilities:

Assist Title I and Classroom teachers with providing instruction to identified students. Possesses general knowledge, practices, and methods used in teaching Work with individual and small groups of students to reinforce skills Assists Title I teachers with PALS and assessments Provide program activities as provided by Title I or Classroom teachers Records data from tutoring sessions and lessons and shares with appropriate teachers Participates in professional development as assigned Maintains confidentiality of students and school-related information Performs other instructional duties as assigned by the Principal Terms of employment: 182 days per year Salary to be determined by the 2026-2027 Paraprofessional Salary Scale Current qualified employees of the Wythe County School Board may submit a letter of interest.
