Job Description:
SUMMARY Module 4: Aquatics Delivers swimming instruction to individuals and groups of all ages in a community center setting, emphasizing water safety, fundamental swim skills, and stroke development. Designs engaging lessons that build confidence and encourage lifelong aquatic proficiency. Maintains a safe learning environment by adhering to facility protocols and emergency procedures. Must hold current certifications in the following: Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification through the American Red Cross or equivalent
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides instruction to students and community members. Develops and presents the department with a curriculum that provides students with a full experience and is structured to accommodate all fitness levels. Sets up in preparation for and cleans up after each class. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
High School Diploma (or equivalent) Certifications/licenses, as applicable by discipline Required CPR/first aid certifications. Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and
ABILITIES
Possess basic knowledge of fundamental subject area concepts, practices, and procedures with the ability to apply in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus. Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read, understand, and enforce safety procedures. Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of the class Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of the community.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

Set Rate of Pay:
$30.00/ hour. If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure .
