What You'll Do Coordinate and secure insurance pre-authorizations and referrals for elective, urgent, and emergent procedures. Verify in-network and out-of-network provider status and process authorizations accordingly. Determine estimated patient financial responsibility for imaging and durable medical equipment services. Investigate and resolve authorization and referral issues quickly and accurately. Maintain organized documentation and manage workflow tasks within the NextGen EMR system. Research insurance guidelines and coverage requirements to support timely patient care and reimbursement. What We're Looking For At least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting handling insurance authorizations and verifications, including workers' compensation. Working knowledge of NextGen or a similar EMR system. Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance terminology. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
