INSURANCE SALES APPRENTICE

The Teresa Boeken Agency is seeking a motivated Insurance Sales Apprentice in Central Kansas for a 1-year program offering increasing base pay plus uncapped commissions and potential long-term career growth, including agency ownership. No prior insurance experience is required. Ideal candidates are service-oriented, entrepreneurial, eager to learn, and committed to professional and ethical conduct. This performance-driven role provides strong support through coaching, mentorship, proven systems, and an extensive team backing you. Apprentices will receive hands-on training, lead generation, and backing from a highly experienced team while learning the business from the ground up with opportunities to transition into a full-time role upon successful completion.

Apprenticeship Training Includes:

• Office procedures including phone system, customer database management, claims submission and tracking, payment collections etc.
• Obtain Property and Casualty License
• Obtain Life and Health License
• Prospecting and Lead Generation
• Regularly attend networking events
• Promote the Agency through community involvement.
• Quote and present personal lines coverage
• Quote and present life and health coverage
• Close sales transactions
• Support existing sales personnel and team members with policy changes and documentation
• Review existing customer insurance information
• Process changes on existing policies
• Respond to and resolve customer service requests in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner
• Conduct outbound calling to current clients and leads
• Complete necessary filing and office upkeep
• Offer multiple levels of administrative support
• Perform other duties as assigned Requirements
• Strong work ethic and self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment
• Exceptional phone and customer service skills
• positive, persistent and upbeat attitude with the ability to develop a rapport with customers is a necessity
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns and follow through to completion with clients' needs
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and written, with the ability to communicate effectively regarding complex and difficult situtations
• Ability to develop new and manage existing systems and processes
• Proficient with general computer and internet usage including Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Property & Casualty Licensed or obtain license within 1 month of employment
• Life & Health Licensed or obtain license within 2 months of employment
• Ability to pass a FINRA background check
• Reliable and consistent attendance
