Position Description

YOU WILL SERVE AS A MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, COMPUTER, ELECTRONICS ENGINEER OR PHYSICIST IN THE MISSION SYSTEMS GROUP, AVIONICS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, EO AND SPECIAL MISSION SENSOR ENGINEERING DIVISION OF NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities You will serve as a technical leader and participate in a wide variety of advanced projects, which span the concerns of all Divisions of the Advanced Technologies Development Department. You will advise NAVAIR leadership and major program efforts in analysis, simulation, and avionics hardware development to test and demonstrate critical elements that advance state-of-the-art and set new precedence for laser-based sensor systems You will seek solutions using an approach which combines a deep understanding of the fundamental laws of physics, mathematics, and computer science with the most recent electronic and theoretical developments. You will be responsible for developing strategy for transitioning these programs into technology demonstrations and practical products. You will provide the vision and methodology for unifying these elements into a practical cost-effective product for integration into operational platforms. You will use application of personal expertise, knowledge of industry development, and literature searches to determine if techniques of other scientific disciplines.
