Job Description
Our IT department is looking for a full time Interface Engineer to join their team! The hours are Monday - Friday, 8-5 pm with flexibility and off hours work for upgrades and issues occasionally needed.
Summary:
Multi-faceted position which will include the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of interface engines and efficient systems used in the delivery of health care within a clinical, operational, or support-service domain; also supporting the measurement of the impact of improvement initiatives on clinical, financial, and patient experience outcomes. Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:- Analyze requirements and design interfaces between clinical and billing systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Develop, test, and implement data interfaces using industry-standard protocols.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data mapping requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve interface-related issues in a timely manner.
- Perform testing and validation of interfaces to ensure data accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand the business context, use cases, and requirements.
- Maintain a working knowledge of EMR applications and associated modules, including application set up.
- Coordinate efforts of external vendors.
- Stay abreast of national or innovative trends/tools in healthcare interfaces and technologies.
- Apply engineering best practices (ex: version control, testing, continuous integration, etc.).
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for interface specifications, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Keep the managers and business stakeholders informed of progress and blockers.
- Provide a consistently high level of customer service and effectively address customer needs.
Compensation:
$95,000 - $120,000 per year CCP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in clinical interfaces required.
- Proficiency with interface engines, like Corepoint and Rhapsody, and knowledge of interface protocols, like HL7, FHIR, and CCD required.
- Knowledge of ADT, registration, scheduling, billing, clinical, and ancillary systems preferred.
- Experience with SQL and database structures preferred.
- Experience working with diverse clinical health care systems including, but not limited to Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) systems, Practice Management (PM) systems, imaging systems, pharmacy systems, lab systems, and health information exchange (HIE) preferred.
