This is the DON role you actually want. Buchanan Healthcare Center is looking for a Interim Director of Nursing who wants to lead a 60-bed skilled nursing facility where you know every resident by name and your decisions directly shape the care they receive. You report to the Administrator. You run the nursing department. This is real leadership, not middle management.

Early wage access — pull your earned pay before payday What you will do: Lead the nursing department — staffing, scheduling, hiring, coaching, and accountability Own survey readiness and regulatory compliance Round on residents to evaluate care quality and drive improvement Oversee care plans, documentation, and clinical programming Collaborate with the Medical Director on resident care needs Manage the nursing department budget and monthly performance Step into facility leadership in the Administrator's absence What we are looking for: Active RN license in the state of Georgia (required) Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership in skilled nursing or long-term care (required) Prior DON or interim DON experience (preferred) Working knowledge of MDS, care planning, and survey processes A hands-on leader who holds the standard and leads by example Physical requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
