• No Weekends The Interim Intake Mental Health Counselor, under the supervision of the Director of Intake and Chief Admissions Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu on intake waiting room.

The role involves conducting safety checks, patient monitoring, de-escalating acute situations, and providing supportive interactions with patients. Successful candidates will have High school diploma. Sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Health Record required; experience with Electronic Health Record. Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries. Previous experience in psychiatric or substance inpatient, restraint reduction de-escalation, and crisis intervention is preferred.
