July 1, 2026 Killingly Public Schools is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and student-centered educational leader to serve as Interim Superintendent of Schools beginning July 1, 2026, for a period of up to six months while the district conducts a search for a permanent superintendent. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Education, district leadership team, staff, families, and community partners to support the continued success, stability, and daily operations of the district during this transitional period. Killingly Public Schools serves a diverse and engaged community in Northeast Connecticut and is committed to providing high-quality educational opportunities that support the academic growth, personal development, and career readiness of all students. The district values strong relationships, open communication, collaboration, innovation, and meaningful partnerships with families and the community. The Board of Education is seeking a visible and approachable leader who: Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills Values collaboration and relationship-building Supports high-quality instruction and student achievement Has experience supporting professional development and staff growth Has experience with district operations, budgeting, personnel, and school leadership Can maintain continuity and stability during a leadership transition Is committed to fostering a positive and supportive district cultureQualifications:
Connecticut 093 Superintendent Certification required or eligibility for certification Prior superintendent and/or central office leadership experience preferred Demonstrated leadership experience in public education Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsCompensation:
