Job Description

We are looking for an accomplished finance leader to guide the financial direction of our division in Catoosa, Oklahoma. This Long-term Contract position will lead core finance activities including reporting, planning, operational support, and cash flow oversight while serving as a trusted advisor to divisional leadership. The role is ideal for someone who can combine strong accounting discipline with commercial insight to improve performance, strengthen controls, and support sound business decisions.

This is a 3+ month contract position.100% ONSITE in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Client will pay for travel and lodging in Tulsa.

Interim VP/Director of Finance (contract position):
Responsibilities:
  • Direct divisional accounting operations, ensuring balance sheet integrity, reliable reconciliations, and an efficient month-end close process.
  • Produce accurate financial statements and management reporting in line with established accounting policies and compliance expectations.
  • Oversee percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and cost tracking so project financials are recorded correctly throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Lead the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and broader accounting teams, providing direction, accountability, and process oversight.
  • Manage audit readiness and internal control activities to reduce risk, maintain compliance, and support strong governance.
  • Drive the annual budget, forecasting, and longer-range planning cycles, aligning financial plans with operational and corporate objectives.
  • Evaluate results against plan through variance analysis, dashboards, and performance reporting that highlight trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and procurement leaders to identify savings opportunities, improve efficiency, and enhance overall profitability.
  • Provide financial analysis for capital investment decisions, including business case modeling, return evaluation, and post-performance tracking.
  • Review product costing, margin analysis, and project cash flow assumptions to help ensure profitable and cash-positive business execution.
