Job Description

High End Residential Design Firm We are looking for a wonderful addition to our award winning interior design firm! The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of current experience as a professional interior designer, be self-motivated and have a knowledge of residential luxury furnishings and fabrics, bathroom design and kitchen design, along with technical skills. We are looking for a detail oriented individual with a passion for beautifully designed environments and a strong work ethic that will complement our friendly and professional office culture. Interior Design Responsibilities:
  • Under the supervision of the owner/principal, you will be participating in many phases of the design process including (but not limited to) schematic design, detailed CAD work, space planning and client meetings.
  • You will work independently and must expertly manage projects as an experienced designer.
  • You will generate finish plans, cost lists and visual compilations of selections and palettes.
  • You will communicate with clients, external consultants, contractors and product representatives in relation to different project needs.
  • You will visit showrooms and design centers in relation to project needs.
  • Generating technical documentation for manufacturers and artisans, reviewing shop drawings and sketches
  • Managing and following up on progress of work throughout all phases of design, fabrication, and construction
Hard Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Interior Design
  • Minimum of 3 years of active, current, professional interior design experience
  • Creative, Takes Initiative
  • Self-motivated
  • Full working knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Revit and Sketchup a plus, but not required
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to create professional visual presentations
  • Strong work ethic
  • Comfortable dealing with luxury clientele
  • Capable of working at a quick pace on multiple projects within a team environment
  • Experience working with contractors, particularly on job sites, efficiently solving challenges on the spot
  • Proficiency at sourcing items online and in showrooms
  • Car and valid driver's license required
