Job Requirements:

Valid Washington State Certificate with appropriate endorsement. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to use effective assessment and instructional strategies to meet student needs in all curriculum areas and demonstrated ability to use the 4 essential teaching behaviors of assessment, evaluation, planning, and instruction to deliver quality programs for all students. Demonstrated ability to work with and motivate students and to implement effective teaching methods. Willingness and ability to teach reading, math, and language intervention groups as needed Knowledge and experience using technology in the delivery of curriculum and instruction. Successful and recent intermediate teaching/student teaching experience Experience and/or training working with diverse learning capabilities ranging from special education through gifted, including at-risk students. Preference will be given to candidates with team environment experience. Demonstrated interest, commitment, and ability to work positively with students at the intermediate school level. Demonstrated positive interactions with students at the intermediate school level. Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to decision-making in collaboration with administrators and other staff members. Ability to analyze instructional practices through regular and ongoing observations and dialogues associated with mentoring and coaching. Experience using Common Core State Standards and the use of technology in the classroom. Must be familiar with the PLC model of collaborating. Knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Willingness and ability to assist with a variety of coaching and/or other co-curricular activities highly desirable.

$58,336-$121,314 PER DIEM-Based on Education and Experience, 2026-2027 REA Salary Schedule 180 days/year.
