As an Internal Auditor, you will work collaboratively across all functional areas of the Company while maintaining audit independence and objectivity. You will proactively evaluate operations, internal controls, and processes to ensure resources are used effectively and efficiently, identify areas of financial risk and loss, track remediation efforts, support operational excellence through simplification and standardization, and uncover opportunities to automate manual processes and improve scalability.
Responsibilities:
What You Will Do In all of your duties, you will have a relentless, obsessive, yet disciplined approach to manage all details to perfection and deliver desired results. Plan and conduct audits of internal control activities at retail locations, company facilities, and inventory sites to ensure reliability and integrity of information, compliance with policies and procedures, efficient use of resources, safeguarding of assets, and achievement of management objectives. Submit clear written findings and recommendations to appropriate levels of management. Obtain agreement and commitment to corrective action plans from business partners. Provide summary reporting to leadership regarding findings, remediation plans, and control improvements. Follow up to ensure corrective actions have been implemented and are operating effectively. Test the effectiveness of existing financial and operational controls and recommend enhancements to improve design and performance. Maintain and cultivate a centralized inventory of company policies, practices, and key business processes. Perform inquiries, data analysis, and testing procedures to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities. Develop and enhance audit programs to ensure adequate financial and operational controls across the organization. Make recommendations regarding process improvements, system enhancements, policies, and audit triggers to strengthen controls and efficiency. Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of the internal audit plan. Utilize data analytics and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement. Build strong professional relationships throughout departments and business units while serving as a trusted and value-added resource. Perform additional duties as assigned. In addition to that, we require: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field of study, or equivalent relevant work experience. At least one (1) year of relevant work experience demonstrating competency in financial, operational, or compliance areas. Strong commitment to ethics, integrity, and professional objectivity. Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset. Strong analytical, investigative, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple business functions. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Solid data analysis aptitude and desire to learn AI tools that increase audit sample sizes, audit frequency, and business insights. Willingness to travel as required. We will give special consideration to candidates who have: Experience with CRM, billing, or operational systems. Knowledge of retail operations and inventory management. Telecommunications experience or strong interest in the industry. Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, or similar platforms. Familiarity with automation, continuous monitoring, or advanced analytics concepts. Exposure to AI-enabled tools that enhance productivity and surface insights.
