Immediately Job Description The Manheim Central School District is seeking internal candidates to serve as an Elementary Technology Ambassador for the 2026-2027 school year at Doe Run Elementary. Successful candidates will aid in technology-related requests, provide professional development to their peers, and help to spearhead the one-on-one initiative at the elementary level.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
A. Professional Development 1. Assists the professional staff in the proper use of technology. 2. Educates professional staff to use new technologies to enhance their workplace proficiency, which may involve training in a one-on-one or workshop environment. 3. Provides input and expertise to the Coordinator of Online Learning and Technology Integration on staff needs. 4. Assists in the development, maintenance, and supervision of instructional technology resources for educators, which may include: information on particular uses of technology for teaching, online and print tutorials, and guides for technologies available within the district. 5. Attends a monthly meeting with the Coordinator of Online Learning and Technology Integration to receive trainings and updates on current district technology needs and initiatives. 6. Conducts trainings before, during, and after school along with making opportunities available to meet professional staff needs. 7. Attends workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay uptodate with current practices, software, and trends within educational technology. B. Technical Support 1. Acts as a liaison between staff and Coordinator of Online Learning and Technology Integration and Technology Services. 2. Meets regularly with Technology Services to communicate issues related to academic support efforts and instructional technology.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. A minimum of a college degree in the educational field with at least three (3) years of experience as a successful subject area teacher. 2. Experience and knowledge with technology. 3. Ability to work effectively with staff. 4. Ability to problem-solve and direct issues to the appropriate department/individual. 5. Ability to use effective oral and written expression. 6. Respects confidentiality of records and information regarding students, parents, and teachers in accordance with accepted professional ethics, and state and federal law. 7. Ability to facilitate effective meetings. 8. Ability to work an extended schedule.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving educational problems.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Extensive experience working in a teamoriented, collaborative environment.
  • Must be courteous and able to deal effectively with people
  • Must be cooperative, congenial, and service oriented
