JOB TITLE
Inventory AssociateDEPARTMENT

Operations Manager SUMMARY:
The Inventory Associate is responsible for supporting day‑to‑day inventory accuracy and material handling activities across warehouse and production support areas. This role helps ensure materials are accurately received, stored, issued, and tracked within the system. The Inventory Associate works closely with Shipping & Receiving, Purchasing, and Production to maintain organization, reduce errors, and support efficient material flowKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Handling & Accuracy Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records across all warehouse locations Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts; report variances Support inventory adjustments, scrap transactions, and nonconforming material processes by ensuring documentation is complete Complete inventory transactions timely and accurately in the ERP/inventory system Material Flow & Warehouse Support Move material from receiving to storage, staging, and production areas as needed Ensure materials are stored in correct bin locations and labeled appropriately Coordinate with Shipping & Receiving to support inbound and outbound inventory activity Identify and communicate shortages, mislabels, damages, or material availability concerns Process Compliance & Continuous Improvement Follow standard operating procedures related to receiving, inventory handling, and material control Help identify process gaps and suggest improvements Support best practices related to organization, cycle counting, and system accuracy Participate in training on inventory procedures and system usage as assigned Cross‑Functional Communication Communicate inventory issues, discrepancies, or risks promptly Support Purchasing and Production with accurate inventory status and location information Provide updates or basic reporting related to inventory activities as requested Safety & Accountability Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment Follow safety guidelines and material handling best practices, including PPE requirements Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and adherence to company standardsQUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
Experience in inventory, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or materials handling Strong attention to detail and accuracy Working knowledge of ERP or inventory management systems (or willingness to learn) Ability to identify discrepancies and escalate issues for resolution Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on warehouse environment Forklift experience and willingness to obtain certification (if applicable)PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT
Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout warehouse and production areas Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials in accordance with safety guidelines Frequent interaction with forklifts, pallets, staged materials, and moving equipment Use of scanners, computers, and inventory systems for extended periods Work performed in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and lighting Occasional exposure to dust, packaging materials, and outdoor conditions near loading docks Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) May require overtime or schedule flexibility to support inventory counts or operational needs The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
