Job Description

Job Overview Professional Mechanical Services LLC is seeking a highly organized and driven Purchasing & Inventory Manager to oversee material purchasing, warehouse inventory, and job staging operations for our growing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical divisions. This position plays a critical role in supporting field operations by ensuring technicians and installers have the right materials, equipment, and inventory available to complete projects efficiently and professionally. Duties Manage daily purchasing and material ordering for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical projects Maintain accurate warehouse and truck inventory levels Coordinate job staging and material preparation for field crews Develop and maintain inventory control systems and procedures Track purchase orders, vendor pricing, and material costs Receive and verify incoming materials and equipment Manage returns, warranty parts, and damaged materials Work closely with field managers, installers, service technicians, and office staff to ensure smooth project execution Establish and maintain vendor relationships Monitor stock levels and implement min/max inventory controls Assist with warehouse organization and material flow improvements Support implementation and maintenance of inventory software and tracking systems Experience Experience in purchasing, inventory management, warehouse operations, or mechanical contracting Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced construction/service environment Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or construction industry preferred Computer proficiency and ability to learn inventory software systems Strong attention to detail and accountability Forklift experience is a plus Service Titan experience We are looking for someone who takes ownership, thrives in organized systems, and wants to help build a high-performing operation. The ideal candidate will help improve efficiency, reduce material waste, and support our field teams through strong purchasing and inventory leadership.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
