• Full-time Inventory & Quality Control Technician Boat Steering Solutions, LLC (BoatSteer) is a growing manufacturer of marine hydraulic steering and control components serving the recreational and commercial watercraft industry.

We are hiring an Inventory & Quality Control Technician to own day-to-day inventory accuracy and incoming/outgoing quality across our manufacturing and remanufacturing operations. This is a new position, and the role will continue to evolve as the company grows.

Responsibilities:

Manage new and remanufactured finished goods inventory. Use QuickBooks to issue build assemblies for finished goods to meet inventory requirements. Manage purchased parts and machined parts inventory. Use QuickBooks to issue machine shop work orders and purchase orders to meet inventory requirements. Inspect new & remanufactured finished goods for defects and quality issues. Work with the assembly line to remedy deficiencies and report issues to Assembly Manager. Audit machined part inspection drawings for completeness and verifying all necessary inspections were performed correctly. Inspect received parts from vendors by comparing measurements to the part drawing. Act as the primary point of contact for DC Power Steering Unit assembly and testing. This includes building the DC Power Steering Unit and testing per company procedure. Act as the second point of contact (backup) for warehouse activities, which include receiving, packing and shipping.

Requirements:

Knowledge of assembly and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc. Familiarity with part drawing conventions and GD&T Proficiency with assembly of mechanical and hydraulic components Experience in a manufacturing environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills with coworkers, customers, etc. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Work Schedule

Preferred Experience:

Marine Industry experience Experience with Intuit QuickBooks Equipment operator (Pallet Jack, Forklift, Etc.)
