Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Invisared Lipolaser Case Manager to oversee patient care coordination and case management for individuals undergoing non-invasive lipolaser procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare, with expertise in patient advocacy, discharge planning, and utilization review. As a Case Manager, you will serve as a vital link between patients, medical providers, and insurance companies to ensure seamless treatment pathways, compliance with regulatory standards, and optimal patient outcomes. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative aesthetic treatments within a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities Coordinate patient intake processes, ensuring comprehensive documentation and assessment of eligibility for lipolaser procedures. Develop individualized care plans that align with clinical protocols and patient needs, including discharge planning and follow-up care. Collaborate with medical professionals across departments such as nursing, social work, behavioral health, and hospital staff to facilitate integrated patient care. Conduct utilization review and management to verify coverage, ensure compliance with insurance requirements, and optimize resource utilization. Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Assist patients throughout their treatment journey by providing education on procedure expectations, post-treatment care, and addressing concerns promptly. Coordinate with insurance providers for pre-authorization, claims processing, and appeals when necessary. Support the clinical team by managing case documentation related to CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and discharge summaries for billing accuracy. Skills Proven experience in hospital or healthcare settings with a focus on case management or utilization review. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and billing practices. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Record) platforms. Experience working within a Level I or Level II trauma center or acute care environment is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, social work, behavioral health specialists, and physicians. Ability to navigate complex insurance policies related to managed care, hospice care, and outpatient procedures. Knowledge of discharge planning processes and patient service protocols in hospital medicine or emergency medicine settings. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in fast-paced environments such as ICU or PICU units.
