Irrigation Service Technician

About Us With over 17 years in the irrigation industry — serving the Baltimore/Washington, DC Metro area since 2009 — we are a trusted name in residential and commercial irrigation services. The Role This is a hands-on, in-the-field position. You'll be the boots on the ground — diagnosing issues, performing repairs and maintenance, and delivering reliable service to both residential and commercial clients day in and day out. We run subscription-based maintenance agreements alongside standard repair work, so you'll have a structured, reliable route with consistent customers who count on you. What You'll Do Perform service, repairs, and routine maintenance on residential and commercial irrigation systems Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues including heads, valves, controllers, and mainline breaks Service accounts under subscription-based maintenance agreements on a scheduled basis Conduct system inspections and adjustments to ensure proper coverage and efficiency Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients on-site Complete accurate work orders and service documentation after each job Maintain your service vehicle, tools, and parts inventory in good order Identify enhancement opportunities and present them professionally to clients Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience in irrigation service and maintenance Experience servicing both commercial and residential systems Familiarity with subscription/maintenance agreement workflows Ability to diagnose and repair heads, valves, controllers, and lateral/mainline issues Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to manage a daily route independently Professional and courteous with clients on-site Must pass a background check Must have and maintain a clean driving record; valid driver's license required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with smart/connected irrigation controllers (Hunter, Hydrawise, Rain Bird, Rachio, etc.) Bilingual (English/Spanish) — a plus Prior experience working with low-voltage lighting systems.
