Irrigation Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Irrigation Specialist to join our landscape maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water efficiency and healthy landscapes. Your expertise will help promote sustainable lawn care practices and support the overall aesthetic and health of our clients' outdoor spaces. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators. Perform start ups, shut downs of city systems and pump systems. Conduct regular inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions, ensuring systems operate efficiently. Adjust watering schedules based on weather conditions, landscape needs, and water conservation guidelines. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, pruning, fertilizing, and general landscaping duties to support healthy growth. Utilize mechanical skills to repair or replace valves, controllers, pipes, and other irrigation system parts. Collaborate with team members on construction projects involving landscape installation and site preparation. Maintain detailed records of system repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability and future planning. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working with irrigation systems and related equipment. Strong background in lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture or related fields. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, excavators, and construction equipment used in outdoor projects. Knowledge of landscaping principles and best practices for sustainable water management. Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints for irrigation layouts. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues on-site. Valid driver's license; experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators is a plus.
