ISS Aide

Category Classified Location(s) Walhalla High School Description Supervise and monitor students assigned to the In-School Suspension Program. Responsibilities Provide supervision for students who are assigned to the In-School Suspension classroom. Take daily attendance. Review in-school suspension policies, procedures and student expectations with students daily. Monitor all ISS assignments; provide encouragement and feedback to students, monitor tests, computer work and provide instructional assistance as appropriate. Email teachers in advance for work requests and assignments as needed. Experience/Qualifications Must have high school diploma and passing score on paraprofessional test. Prefer minimum of 60 hours college credit OR 2-year degree. Must be able to multitask; must have ability to prioritize tasks and work independently; must be able to handle, in a calm, intelligent manner, any unexpected situation that may occur. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Must have ability to work with minimal supervision. Must have excellent classroom management skills. Salary Range Salary Grade

SS2 WITHOUT

2 or 4 year degree. Salary range = $13.91- $20.30 Salary Grade SS3 with a 2 or 4 year degree.
