BA Information Technology Specialist Salary Range:

$5,417 - $6,771 per month

Open Until Filled Overview of Job Duties:

An Information Technology Specialist works in the Administrative Services Department under the general direction of the Finance and Administrative Services Director.

Main job functions include:

Completes the functions of a network administrator for the assigned network; Responsible for data backup, recovery, and retention consistent with established policy; Deploys new hardware and software for users; Ensures networks are protected from damage to equipment and data; Maintains asset logs and tracks required updates and replacements; Provides workstation support for hardware and software deployed throughout the City; Assists in planning, review, and selection of new and upgraded technology options in a proactive manner to ensure the City's capability to meet future needs.

Minimum Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position you must have the following experience and education: At least three years of experience and a thorough understanding of LAN and WAN technologies, including multiple network operating systems, topologies, and protocols; Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications and training in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field; Familiarity with a broad range of hardware and software used in government operations; Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
