- On the road in San Diego County Cyfer Tech is a family-owned MSP in Oceanside building world-class IT support for small and mid-sized businesses across San Diego County.
MSP:
we've built our own AI-powered support layer (Emma) that handles the repetitive triage, documentation, and follow-up work. That means your time at customer sites stays focused on the human stuff — solving real problems, building trust, doing work that actually matters.- What You'll Do, Visit customer offices to install, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, laptops, printers, network gear, and phones, Set up new users in Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace — accounts, mailboxes, MFA, basic policies, Configure wireless access points, switches, and routers from cloud-managed dashboards (Mostly Sophos and some Meraki, Ubiquiti, Aruba), Run, terminate, and test copper network cable as part of small office moves or installs (fiber a plus, not required), Respond to help desk tickets — diagnose, document, and resolve, escalating when needed, Keep ticket notes and customer documentation current in our PSA (ConnectWise Manage) and IT Glue, Work alongside Emma, our AI ops assistant, who handles tier-zero triage and routine documentation so you can focus on the work only humans can do,•What We're Looking For (Required), Solid Windows + macOS + iOS troubleshooting — you know how to read an error message and where to look next, Microsoft 365 admin basics — mailbox setup, license assignment, password resets, MFA, Network basics — you can plug into a managed switch, understand VLANs at a high level, configure a wireless AP from a dashboard, Customer service instincts — you can explain "your firewall blocked it" to a non-technical user without making them feel dumb, Strong written communication — you keep customers, teammates, and management updated as situations evolve, Documentation discipline — you treat ticket notes like the next tech who picks up this ticket is you tomorrow morning, hungover, A valid California driver's license + a reliable car (not a motorcycle) with mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate, Able to climb ladders, work in office attics/crawlspaces, and lift up to 50 lbs for cabling and equipment installs, Willing to pass a background check — most of our clients require it, Ability to commute reliably to Oceanside, CA 92056 when not on site,•Nice to Have (Not Required), 1-2 years of help desk or field IT experience, Hands-on with ConnectWise Manage, Automate, or ASIO RMM, Familiarity with EDR/endpoint security (Mostly Sophos) Active Directory and Group Policy basics; Intune or
