Job Description
Summary The IVA Technician I is responsible for advanced pneumatic and electric actuator valve assembly, including setting stops, limit switches, positioner setup, solenoid tubing, and testing. This role requires prior automated valve assembly experience, proficiency in mechanical skills, and a solid understanding of industry standards and codes. The technician will handle complex assembly tasks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality and safety compliance. Responsibilities Advanced pneumatic and electric actuator valve assembly (including tubing) setting stops setting limit switches, positioner setup, solenoid tubing electric actuator valve assembly, setting torque, limit switches, and testing. Additionally, the IVA Technician I will handle more complex assembly tasks and troubleshooting. Positional Requirements & Qualifications Education & Experience Prior automated valve assembly experience High School Diploma or GED and at least 4 years' industry experience Skills & Abilities Meets all Technician I qualifications and requirements outlined in the job description Successful completion of Automated Valve Assembly Level II Written and Performance Test Successful completion of required training outlined in the technician certification program Successful completion of all applicable Quality Standardization Procedures Proficient in valve assembly according to company standards Demonstrated proficiency in lapping, testing, applicable codes, and standards Demonstrated mechanical skills, basic mathematical skills, and ability to use measurement equipment Familiar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and able to recognize a contaminated valve Demonstrated proficiency in automated valve assembly testing, applicable codes, and standards Demonstrated mechanical skills, basic mathematical skills, and ability to use measurement equipment Intermediate understanding of the importance of air supply pressure Intermediate understanding of input signals (3-15# and 4-20 mA) Basic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC, only if required) Basic oral & written communication skills Ability to communicate professionally with customers as a representative of the company and demonstrate understanding of the field job process Demonstrate "can do" attitude and excellent customer service skills Follow Quality Standardization Procedures for all aspects of the valve assembly and testing process Recognition of missing parts Proficient in valve repair according to company standards Intermediate learning of various shop equipment (test stand, machining equipment, etc.) Moderate supervision required Ability to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance with company driving guidelines Must clear background check and drug/alcohol screening

Lifting:
up to 50 pounds Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet Bending, stooping, walking, and climbing stairs Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another Communicating with others to exchange information Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Operating machinery and/or power tools Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned Able to pass periodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standards Required physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirements Able to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore) This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed.
