Janitor

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time night janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in our office facility located in Wayne, Michigan. This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent evening work in a quiet, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, break rooms, and common areas Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in common areas and offices Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, counters, and windowsills Wipe down and disinfect high touch surfaces (doorknobs, handrails, etc.) Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are stored properly Clean glass doors, entryways, and internal windows as needed Respond to routine cleaning requests from staff or supervisors. Secure the facility upon completion of shift Deep Cleaning Rotation (biweekly or monthly): Dust and clean high or hard to reach surfaces (vents, light fixtures, ceiling corners door trim, etc.) Clean and disinfect office chairs, partitions, and under desk areas Perform detailed cleaning of kitchen/break room appliances

Requirements:

Ability to work independently and follow a routine schedule Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform physical tasks and requires long periods of standing Reliable transportation and punctual attendance

Preferences:

Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial or office setting High school diploma or equivalent
