We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented Part-Time Janitor to join our team in Vista, CA. In this role, you will be the backbone of our facility's presentation, maintaining the cleanliness and professional appearance of both our nursery offices and greenhouse restrooms. This position is essential to ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our staff and customers alike. Overall Responsibilities:

Your day-to-day will involve high-standard maintenance across two distinct environments:

Office & Surface Maintenance Sanitization:

Dust, wipe, and sanitize desks, tables, and all common surfaces.

Floor Care:

Sweep, mop, or vacuum office floors to eliminate dirt, mud, and dust.

Waste Management:

Empty all trash and recycling bins, ensuring liners are replaced promptly.

Glass & Entryways:

Clean entry doors and interior glass partitions to maintain a polished look.

Greenhouse & Facility Restrooms Deep Cleaning:

Sanitize toilets, sinks, and mirrors using industry-standard disinfectants.

Restocking:

Ensure all dispensers (paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitizer) remain fully stocked.

Specialized Floor Care:

Scrub restroom floors, paying close attention to corners and drains where greenhouse debris may collect.

Odor Control:

Monitor ventilation and manage air fresheners to maintain a fresh atmosphere.

Safety & Inventory Oversight Supplies:

Monitor cleaning supply levels and notify management when reordering is necessary.

Compliance:

Safely store and use cleaning chemicals according to SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and OSHA guidelines.

Proactive Reporting:

Identify and report maintenance issues like leaky faucets, broken bulbs, or structural repairs needed in the greenhouse or office.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs. throughout a 4-hour shift. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Extensive walking is required. Ability to read and understand safety labels and instructions in English (bi-lingual skills are a plus).

Reliability:

You have a proven track record of punctual and consistent attendance. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Experience:

Previous professional cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred.
