Janitor

Must be able to work Monday through Thursday 10 AM to 3:30 PM and Friday 10 AM to 2:30 PM.

Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of H.A.R.T. Center Facility.

Performance Responsibilities:

Perform all janitorial duties as assigned on a daily, weekly and monthly basis or as needed. Store and use all cleaners and chemicals according to guidelines set by the Manufacturer and The H.A.R.T. Center with regards to safety to meet licensing requirements. Maintain a positive, professional manner with staff and individuals. Assist with inventory of all janitorial supplies. Be knowledgeable of fire and safety regulations. Assume the responsibility for acquiring at least 24 hours of in-service training throughout the year. Assist other staff, whenever possible. Towards implementing existing goals, as well as new goals mutually agreed upon by the Janitor and his/her supervisor. Assume duties of Production Staff person as needed, within the workshop, warehouse and shipping areas. Additional qualifications Experience as a janitor, cleaner, or in a comparable role is preferred. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is also preferred. Must be capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the entire shift. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull, and lift approximately 10-30 pounds repeatedly. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and the importance of keeping them secured. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
