Janitor/Cleaner

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities team. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Conduct detailed floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces. Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Handle industrial cleaning duties when necessary, including the use of specialized equipment for heavy-duty tasks. Assist with facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs and reporting larger issues to the appropriate teams. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and usage of chemicals and equipment. Support portering duties by moving furniture or equipment as needed to facilitate cleaning or maintenance projects. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing is highly desirable. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies will be considered an asset. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or troubleshooting is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards.
