Janitor/Cleaner

Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Conduct routine janitorial duties including trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold high standards of hygiene. Maintain floor care through buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve the appearance and safety of all flooring types. Assist with custodial tasks such as window cleaning, light maintenance, and minor repairs to support overall facility upkeep. Follow safety procedures and use proper cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects as needed, including deep cleaning tasks or specialized sanitation procedures. Collaborate with facilities maintenance teams to report issues requiring repair or further attention to ensure continuous operational excellence. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance practices. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout shifts. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods.
