Janitor/Cleaner

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This vital role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that our spaces are hygienic, well-maintained, and visually appealing. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility. Maintain floors through polishing, and applying appropriate cleaning solutions to ensure safety and appearance. Conduct industrial cleaning procedures in designated areas, utilizing specialized equipment for deep cleaning tasks. Assist with facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs, reporting larger issues to the appropriate teams. Support custodial operations by managing supplies inventory and ensuring cleaning tools are properly sanitized and stored. Provide porter services by moving furniture or equipment as needed and ensuring common areas are tidy and accessible. Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries while maintaining high standards of hygiene. Skills Proven experience in commercial or residential cleaning environments with a focus on janitorial duties. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, including floor care such as buffing and polishing. Familiarity with custodial equipment and industrial cleaning tools. Ability to perform facilities maintenance tasks and support general upkeep activities. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying cleaning needs. Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving supplies throughout shifts. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues promptly.
