Full Job Description Position :

Athletic Trainer (.50)

Location :

Joel Barlow High School Date Available :

Commencing with the 2026-2027 school year.

Salary :

In accordance with the Joel Barlow Education Association's bargaining unit contract.

Responsibilities :

Develop an overall sports medicine program, including: injury prevention programs, injury evaluations, injury management, injury treatment and rehabilitation, educational programs and counseling for student athletes. Provide athletic training services for the athletic department, including attendance at scheduled team practices and home and away competitions as necessary. Coordinate and schedule physical examinations and medical referrals for student-athletes to determine their ability to practice and compete. Work in conjunction with the strength and conditioning coach to ensure safety in the design and implementation of fitness, nutrition and conditioning programs customized to meet individual student-athlete needs. Assist Athletic Administrator in the development of the athletic training budget. Schedule and coordinate replacement athletic trainer for coverage of all team practices and athletic competitions on days of absences. Evaluate and recommend new techniques and equipment that would enhance the benefit of the athletic training program. Recordkeeping and documentation. 20-25 hours weekly

Qualifications :
