Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Job Corps Cook to join our culinary team at our Wolf Creek location 2010 Opportunity Ln, Glide, OR 97443. Shift is Monday - Thursday 8:00am to 6:30pm In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving delicious, nutritious meals that meet dietary standards and satisfy our guests' tastes. Your expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations will contribute to creating a welcoming and high-quality dining experience. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, dietary guidelines, and quality standards Assist with menu planning to ensure variety, nutritional value, and guest preferences are met Handle food safely by following proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals for residents or guests with specific dietary requirements Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and smooth kitchen operations Contribute to catering events or special meal occasions as needed Requirements HS diploma or GED Food Handlers Certification Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within restaurant or culinary settings Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety protocols Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food handling techniques Join us if you are passionate about culinary arts, eager to develop your skills further, and committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
