Position Overview Our team is currently looking for a Job Coordinator IV for one of our clients in the Oil and Gas industry. The Job Coordinator serves as the primary field liaison for contracted work crews within the refinery. This role is accountable for ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient execution of contracted work, in full alignment with the Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards, contractual obligations, and site procedures. The Job Coordinator provides visible field leadership, oversees contractor performance, and ensures that all work is executed as planned, authorized, and in accordance with approved scope and permits. Responsibilities & Essential Duties Safety & Environmental Leadership Act as the on-site representative, enforcing HSSE standards and site requirements Demonstrate strong visible safety leadership, including stopping unsafe work when necessary Ensure contractors understand process safety hazards, emergency response plans, and unit-specific risks Verify completion and effectiveness of pre-job safety reviews (PJSRs) and daily toolbox talks Ensure all incidents (including first aid cases) are reported, investigated, and documented in line with company procedures Contractor Oversight & Assurance Ensure contractor compliance with company policies, including Contractor HSSE & Management Practices (C2) Confirm all contractor personnel are qualified, trained, and authorized before starting work Verify that Control of Work (CoW) roles are performed by competent and certified individuals Monitor execution to ensure alignment with approved Scope of Work (SoW), permits, and procedures Conduct field audits, observations, and assurance activities Access, Authorization, & Site Controls Verify contractor badging, training, and site access requirements Ensure compliance with security protocols (e.g., TWIC, MARSEC, escort requirements) Coordinate with Operations and Security teams for non-standard access requests Ensure contractors do not access restricted areas or operating equipment without authorization Coordination & Communication Serve as the primary interface between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and contractors Ensure contractor supervisors clearly understand roles, responsibilities, and Job Rep assignments Communicate changes in scope, conditions, or hazards promptly to all stakeholders Escalate concerns related to safety, quality, performance, or compliance Incident Response & Documentation Secure and manage incident scenes, ensuring preservation of evidence Support collection of witness statements, photos, and investigation data Participate in incident investigations and corrective action follow-up Apply a conservative approach to incident classification until confirmed Turnaround (TAR) & Execution Support Provide daily field oversight during Turnarounds (TARs) and major maintenance events Coordinate work sequencing, interfaces, and issue resolution in the field Support cost, schedule, and productivity tracking through field verification Review and validate contractor labor, equipment, and material usage where applicable Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills) Strong field leadership with the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviors Working knowledge of refinery operations, maintenance, and contractor oversight Solid understanding of HSSE requirements, Control of Work (CoW), and site access protocols Strong communication skills with both craft and leadership personnel Ability to work independently in high-risk, fast-paced environments Role Context & Reporting Acts as the field execution authority, ensuring contractor activities align with expectations Works closely with: o Operations & Maintenance Teams o HSE & Security o Contract Account Managers (CAMs) o Turnaround (TAR) Leadership o Procurement & Supply Chain Global Edge Group, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
