Job Skills Trainer ~ Part-time over the Summer, with possible hours on Saturday mornings during the school year ~ $18/hour Work date expectations: ~ Would like to have the Job Skills Trainer also help our program in the summer (Mon-Thurs mornings from mid June until the end of July) ~ Work from 8:30-12:30 on Saturday morningsJob Goal:
Responsible for the supervision and training of students at community worksites, providing intensive support and evaluation of skills for student work experiences.Reports To:
WIOA Program Manager Qualifications:
High school diploma. One-year experience in vocational rehabilitation or a related field is preferred. Driver's license and personal vehicle for business time. Able to perform duties of all targeted tasks in work experience settings.Specific:
1. Evaluate client's skills and vocational needs while working at the job site. 2. Maintain confidentiality of student information. 3. Responsible for providing vocational training and supervision of student performance in meeting the business expectations of the job. 4. Develop natural supports within the worksites. 5. Reduce direct supervision by working with students to develop the ability to independently complete job tasks. 6. Educate the employer, supervisor, and co-workers about working with students including modifications, adaptations for natural supports. 7. Complete timesheets and progress summaries. 8. Know and implement regulatory requirements as it relates to: (1) Hours (2) Breaks 9. Maintain ongoing contact with site supervisor. 10. Build professional relationships with employers and supervisors at the worksite as a representative of LADSE and the WIOA program. 11. Substitute when needed at alternate worksites. 12.
