Job Description
Bon Secours is Hiring an Experienced NP/PA at Primary Health Care Associates! We are looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at Primary Health Care Associates. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the community by providing high-quality healthcare services. The team at PHCA is experienced and is committing to serving the community. We are accepting applicants who are licensed Family NPs, PA, and Adult Geriatric Primacy Care NPs.
Duties:
Exercises independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of medical processes and procedures commensurate with training and experience Performs and documents comprehensive health histories and physical assessments, to include initiation of CPR or other appropriate emergency therapy as needed. Formulates diagnoses, identifies problems and health risk profiles, documents, and clearly communicates with other members of the healthcare team. Performs, orders, and interprets diagnostic studies, such as X-rays and laboratory tests. Consults with peers and colleagues as appropriate. Orders medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with Virginia prescriptive regulations. Requests consultation and initiates referrals to other healthcare providers, including specialists, when and if needed. Evaluates and analyzes patient responses to the disease process and/or therapeutic and diagnostic interventions. Provides information, education, and support to patients/families regarding disease processes and treatment plans (diagnostic procedures, medications, and treatments), thus facilitating communication between patients/families and the healthcare team. Responding to patient calls and MyChart messages. Ensuring patient referrals for procedures and to other subspecialties are completed As part of our team, you will be working in an outpatient setting alongside experienced professionals who are dedicated to serving the community.
