Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, local codes, and the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, renovation projects, and industrial facilities, utilizing your comprehensive electrical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver high-quality results. Duties Install, wire, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to accurately execute electrical installations. Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues efficiently. Work with low voltage systems and high voltage circuits to ensure proper operation of complex electrical equipment. Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment on construction sites and during ongoing maintenance. Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman teams to coordinate installation efforts and ensure seamless project completion. Conduct inspections of electrical systems during construction or renovation phases to verify compliance with NEC standards and schematics. Qualifications Valid journeyman electrician license with proven experience in commercial electrical work. Extensive hands-on experience with electrical systems in construction site environments. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical installations. Strong knowledge of NEC standards, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and safety procedures. Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices essential for troubleshooting. Knowledge of schematics interpretation for complex wiring layouts and control systems. $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
